Thanks Santa...

*Fiuh* -_- I don't know how to begin writing, it's been a very long day for me yesterday *_* I started my trading day missing the early kickoff at Fulham as I was invited to my friend's wedding day, when I got back home it's about half an hour left before Aston Villa vs Manchester United kickoff. Under 2.5 goals was traded at 1.90 at the time, I put a back of $6,600 and waited about 10 minutes before somebody took it. It was one of my quickest trade off, as 1.88 soon available to lay, and I didn't want to take any risk and laid off all my liability at once. So a very quick $120+ freebet on Under 2.5 goals. I then moved my attention to another match, my favorite under team, BOLTON. it was where everything went wrong. I ve made two very basic mistakes, I didn't check the market rules and it was a very low in liquidity, base on the 2nd reason alone I shouldn't even go near this market. Instead what happen? I made $6,600 back at 1.65 and put an immediate lay @1.64. I was waiting and waiting....But the market didn't move at all. I decided to lay $3,000 @1.66 right before suspension to reduce my liability as I don't feel comfortable going in play with so much money at risk. The BIG RED SUSPENDED sign stayed there for a couple of minutes, It was when I checked the rules that I found out the market won't go in play *_* WHAT THE.....I still had about $3,600 liability on overs 2.5 goals, and I can't do a thing to lay it off...The first half ended 2-0, I thought it was the end for me. I suddenly remembered my nephew got an account at local online bookie, I phoned him at 75th minutes and started laying off my bet. I have minimized my potential loss by 85th minutes, the match stayed 2-0 until the end, I should've won $2,200 if I didn't do a thing and went to bed straightaway :p but nonetheless I feel very relieved to be able to get out with no loss. Thanks heap Santa...

It's not finished yet, the next match up was Wigan vs Chelsea, I missed the pre-kickoff trading because I was waiting for Betfair to settle my Bolton bet. I rarely bet in play before, but probably because I just made a close escape from $3,600 loss, I feel a little bit loose about my money and decided to put $100 on unders 2.5 goals @1.75. Lampard scored a quick goal before I could lay off my liabilities. I decided to follow Ray's The SportsTrader method and backed under again for $100 @2.50. I only able to laid $25 from my $200 liability when the second goal kicked in. I have no choice and backed under for another $125 @4.5. The price stayed at 4.5 until 1st half injury time when Emile Heskey scored a goal for Wigan, I had no chance at all to reduce my liabilities >_<. It probably the worst possible game to apply Ray's technique. So in total I made $200 loss today, still pretty happy that I didn't lose my $3,600 too. I will withdraw my $2,232.95 winning from Bolton O/U to pay my local bookie, so I will assume I had no bet at this game previously.

Barcelona vs Atletico Madrid

I was reluctant to trade in this match initially, mostly because of my bad luck with Barcelona lately. And yes it's proved to be another "bad" luck, as I was about to back under at the price of 1.93, exactly 60 minutes before kickoff, someone snap it before I pressed submit button and the price drifting wildly to 1.87. I thought I ve missed my chance, and was hesitant to continue trading, but the market ping-pong-ed around between 1.84-1.88 for the rest of the 30 minutes gave me a chance to make a slim profit of $62 if the game finished under. The match just started when I wrote this post, I'm thinking to lock in profit later on, but will see how it goes, I ll probably let my $62 freebet running for maximum profit. More update later.

Update:
I managed to laid off my freebet a little bit before went to bed to lock in $42 regardless the result.

Wednesday Update...

Hi Guys, I ve been busy + lazy yesterday so wasn't able to make any update. I had my funds tied up on Arsenal matches until late on Wednesday Evening, so I wasn't prepared to do any trade actually. Newcastle vs Chelsea was my only choice yesterday, and it wasn't much of trading, I put my back offer @1.78 about 6 hours before kickoff (was traded at 1.74 at the time :p). Sixty minutes before the match started, I jumped in backing under @1.73 and was hoping the price to drift 3 tick or more. It did go down until 1.71 but I was greedy and expected for more profit, it went up again to to 1.72, where I quickly locked in my 1 tick profit. The price keep drifting up, and traded at 1.74-1.75 before kickoff, so another good judgement and a little bit of luck gave me $62 freebet on Under 2.5 goals. After 20 minutes of no goal, I decided to greened up both sides for a guaranteed profit of $43 which concluded my trading day. I hope to keep the small profit coming, it will add up nicely in a couple of months time.

Liverpool vs Arsenal (Carling Cup) Postponed

Two things I'm sigh-ing for:

  1. My $6k is now tied up for i don't know how long...
  2. I should've made at least $100 profit if it wasn't postponed.

sigh...

It's The Small Things That Make Big Things Happen...

I should stick with this thread title from now on. I felt really down after my Sunday losses and went to bed earlier decided that I won't take part in Sunday Night EPL. I was afraid I won't be able to make a good judgement and ended up losing more, I still need to learn to cope with losing situation better. Luckily, my Monday schedule was packed, from early morning off to work and basketball training at night, I went home dead tired but with clear mind ready to trade again ^^.

Only one EPL match available, Fulham vs Middlesbrough, I found it's strange that the liquidity was massive, considering both team are relegation candidates. About $1.3 millions already matched 6 hours before kickoff (normally about $500k on big match). I felt a little uncomfortable with the amount of money laying under 2.5 goals, about $350k were waiting at 1.67-1.69, and only $150k waiting in the other side @1.70-1.72. It looked like 1.70 will be gone in no time, so I left my back of $6,500 @1.71. My alarm woke me up 30 minutes before kickoff, only $2,000 of my back were taken at the time. I waited about 15 minutes before all my money were taken, and quickly put my lay offer @1.68 for 3 tick profit, a bit greedy probably since massive amount of money available at the left hand side. 5 minutes left, and I believed it's not possible to get my 1.68 matched, and I quickly changed it to 1.70, and got it matched seconds later. The price stayed at 1.70-1.71 until suspension, and I was out with $60 'Under' freebet. Two rather early goals almost killed my freebet, I thought it was the end, no chance at all to green up for a decent amount of profit, I left my lay offer $32 @2.0 hoping the next goal (if any) to come after 70th minute, and yes it did happen at 74th minute when my lay bet already taken. So I ended the night with small $30 profit after commision, not bad at all, any profit will do after a bad day...
